Introduction
These interviews were of residents of Atria Senior Living Center in Fairmount. I had already volunteered there and heard the unique stories of many of the residents. I thought that it could be really impactful to capture these stories and present them in a medium so their legacies could live on. This project was made to show how the older generations are often overlooked and highlight the issue of ageism in America. Many people see old people as slow and too traditional when in reality, many of them hold hidden stories of what America used to be like, hence my title. I hope that our society will learn to value more the ideas and advise of older members in America.
